Route and Digital section toll
On Alpine crossings that are costly to construct, special route toll rates apply to vehicles up to 3.5 t mpw (maximum permissible weight).
Route toll sections can be found on the A 9 Pyhrn motorway, the A 10 Tauern motorway, the A 11 Karawanken motorway, the A 13 Brenner motorway and the S 16 Arlberg expressway. On the routes between the individual toll stations the toll sticker is not compulsory, unlike elsewhere on motorways and expressways.
The route toll tickets (single trip or annual pass) can either be paid for in cash, by credit card, fuel card or debit card directly at the toll station or online in advance when you purchase a video toll card.
The validity of an annual ticket (toll route, expiration date) can be checked here.
The barcode of the ticket is required for identification.

The validity of your video toll cards can be checked here.
For identification purposes, your vehicle licence plate number is required.

If you have purchased a digital section toll, you can check the validity of your ticket via a publicly accessible register. Entering the licence plate number and the country or registration you will receive information regarding the type of vehicle (car or motorbike), the validity of your ticket and the route for which the ticket was purchased.
